Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Residents of certain states have the right to direct us not to sell or share their personal information with third parties. This page explains those rights, what information we collect, how we may share it, and how to submit an opt-out request.

1. Your Privacy Rights by State

Depending on where you live, one or more of the following state privacy laws may apply to you.

Connecticut Residents Effective July 1, 2026

Under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) and its July 2026 amendments, Connecticut residents have the right to opt out of the processing of their personal data for the purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Connecticut residents also have the right to appeal a denial of any privacy rights request.

California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to direct us not to sell or share their personal information. You may also opt out of the use of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

Virginia Residents

Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Virginia residents have the right to opt out of the sale of personal data and the processing of personal data for targeted advertising or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Indiana Residents

Under the Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act (ICDPA), effective January 1, 2026, Indiana residents have the right to opt out of the sale of personal data and the processing of personal data for targeted advertising or profiling.

Maryland Residents

Under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA), effective April 1, 2026, Maryland residents have the right to opt out of the processing of personal data for purposes of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data.

All Other U.S. Residents

While a comprehensive state privacy law may not currently apply to your state of residence, TGM Anchor Point will honor opt-out requests from all U.S. residents as a matter of good practice.

2. Personal Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with our website and community services, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Contact information including name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • Rental application data including employment history, income verification, and rental references
  • Financial information related to rent payments, fees, and payment history
  • Lease and tenancy records including move-in and move-out details
  • Maintenance request details and service history
  • Emergency contact information you provide at move-in or during your tenancy
  • Vehicle registration and parking permit information
  • Pet registration information
  • Website usage data and browsing behavior collected via analytics tools
  • IP address and device or browser information
  • Communication records including emails, phone logs, and written correspondence

3. How We May Share Your Information

We may share certain data with third-party service providers to operate our community and deliver services, including:

  • Property management software platforms used to administer leases, payments, and maintenance requests
  • Credit and background screening services used in the rental application process
  • Maintenance and vendor service providers who perform work at the property
  • Analytics and marketing platforms including Google Analytics and advertising tools
  • Legal and compliance service providers
  • Government agencies and law enforcement when required by applicable law

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or other third parties for their independent marketing or commercial use.

However, under the broad definitions of applicable state privacy laws, some sharing of data with advertising partners may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing." You have the right to opt out of this activity using the request form below.

5. Response Timeline

We will respond to opt-out requests within the timeframes required by applicable law:

  • Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days.
  • Completion: We will complete your request within 45 calendar days. If we require additional time, we will notify you in writing prior to the expiration of that period.
  • Connecticut, Virginia, and Indiana residents: If we are unable to act on your request, we will inform you of the reason and provide instructions for submitting an appeal within 60 days of our decision.

6. Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Specifically, we will not:

  • Deny you housing, services, or any other goods and services
  • Charge you different prices or rates for housing or services
  • Provide you with a different level or quality of service
  • Suggest that you will receive a different price, rate, or level of service because you exercised your rights

Fair Housing Notice: Exercising your privacy rights under applicable state or federal law will not affect your rights as a housing applicant or current resident under the Fair Housing Act, the Connecticut Fair Housing Act, or any applicable local fair housing laws.

7. Authorized Agents

If you are submitting an opt-out request on behalf of another individual, you must provide written authorization signed by the individual, or hold a valid Power of Attorney for that individual. We may contact the resident or applicant directly to verify the authorization before processing the request.
